An evening full of milestones, shared successes and solidarity – The Zeman Group celebrates anniversaries

On October 17, 2024, around 450 guests – including customers, partners, and employees – gathered at the Pyramide Vösendorf to celebrate 170 years of Waagner Biro steel and glass, 60 years of Zeman & Co, and 50 years of PEM. The event not only honored these impressive milestones, but above all the people who made them possible.

PEM turns 50
Hans Zeman, founder of Zeman & Co, emphasized the importance of courage and team spirit in his speech during the celebrations, while his successor, Peter Zeman, focused on the future and the international diversity of the corporate group. This evening was also a special highlight for PEM Buildings. For half a century, the company has been a major influence in industrial and hall construction. The celebration provided an opportunity to reflect on successes and look ahead. „We are particularly proud to celebrate this anniversary with Zeman & Co and Waagner Biro steel and glass. The close cooperation within the Zeman Group makes it possible to efficiently implement innovative projects time and again,“ said Thomas Ennsberger, Managing Director of PEM.   

A celebration of tradition, innovation and collaboration
The anniversary celebration at the Pyramide Vösendorf, a building that earned Zeman & Co the first European Steel Construction Award in 1985, was not only a tribute to the past but also a strong signal for a shared, successful future. An exhibition showcased the most important milestones of the corporate group, while a panel discussion offered exciting insights into the construction industry of tomorrow. An atmospheric supporting program rounded off the evening.
