PEM hall of Fischer Ski is taking shape

The renovation of the burned-down production hall of Fischer Ski in Ukraine (Mukachevo), carried out by PEM, is in full swing. The new hall will be completed in August, after which the installation of further facilities will begin. The final completion and the start of production in Ukraine are planned for the end of this year. Normal operations are expected to resume in the winter of 2022/23. To achieve this, 26 workers from PEM Buildings are currently working on the construction site. „In addition to logistics, the biggest challenges we face as a team are above all the language barrier and the coordination of the individual trades. With forward-looking planning, we are confident that Fischer will soon be able to produce again in the new halls.“, said project manager Jochen Wegscheider optimistically. 

Thus, after the completion of the steel structure including the roof and installation of the skylights, the installation of partition walls and smoke curtains could begin in the nave of the new hall. In the south of the site, the old roof panel has already been removed and replaced with a new membrane roof. Preparations for the installation of the sprinkler system are underway in the existing part of the hall. The situation is similar in the northern hall, where the steel structure has already been successfully erected. Roof renovation has also begun. The next step will be the installation of the windows. If necessary, the project will be expanded to include the renovation of the existing walls.
