Karlheinz Buddrus – Veteran with a Love for Numbers at the PEM Office in Landshut
Karlheinz Buddrus joined PEM Buildings by chance. More than 20 years later, the trained car mechanic is still a permanent part of the office in Landshut. Over the years, he has built up knowledge that he gladly shares with colleagues.
A small, inconspicuous 3-line ad drew Karlheinz Buddrus's attention to PEM Buildings and led to his application. „I got the job at PEM just one day after my daughter was born. I think that was a good omen,“ says Karlheinz Buddrus. „At first, I had no idea about steel construction. Through training at headquarters and my experiences, I have expanded my knowledge over time,“ says the trained car mechanic, who has also completed further training as a bricklayer and structural engineer.
New challenges every day
Karlheinz Buddrus is responsible for calculations in the hall construction sector at PEM and prepares daily offers for steel construction, roofing, wall cladding, and all accessories. His attention to detail and affinity for numbers make the job perfect for him. Interesting challenges and constantly changing building requirements ensure exciting variety. Mr. Buddrus also advises architects, partner companies, or builders who are interested in specific areas of hall construction. „I really enjoy my job and have already had the opportunity to train some new colleagues and pass on my knowledge,“ the moped enthusiast says proudly.
Success through solidarity and honesty
When Karlheinz Buddrus became part of PEM over 20 years ago, the office in Landshut was just being set up, and even today he appreciates the relaxed atmosphere. „I feel well taken care of here, also thanks to my colleagues, with whose help I always learn something new when I reach the limits of my knowledge“, Buddrus thanks PEM and his colleagues. But not only on a personal level, but also on a business level, the hobby cyclist and PEM are on the same wavelength: „The entire PEM team strives to make honest offers without hidden costs. That is important to me“.
