Zeman & Co involved in the construction of DC Tower 2, a new landmark in Vienna 

Zeman & Co is pleased to be part of the DC Tower 2 project, which will help shape the skyline of Vienna. The steel construction specialist is responsible for the erection of four main bracing columns, each 30 meters high, which will be crucial for the stability of the tower against earthquakes and wind loads. The columns are made of high-strength S460 steel and are designed as composite columns to reduce material usage while improving performance. The towers are assembled in five segments each, which are lifted in with a 650-ton crane and welded together. 80 percent of the work has already been completed, and everything is going according to plan.

In the planning and structural analysis, Zeman & Co was actively supported by spannverbund GmbH. The client is the PORR Group, which is relying on the expertise of Zeman & Co not for the first time.
