News from the group of companies: Renewal of the Mursteg in Scheifling

Joining of two bridge sections at Scheifling
On 16.03.2021, two bridge sections were joined together at the ZEMAN Group's company site in Scheifling. The new bridge replaces the Mursteg built in 1993 and is part of the Murtal cycle path. Numerous onlookers came to witness the wedding of the bridge sections, which almost had to be postponed due to the wind. 

For the implementation of the new cycle path bridge project—which is also accessible for emergency vehicles up to 3.5 tons—primarily regional companies were commissioned. The supporting structure consists of glued laminated timber beams, to which the steel walkway is attached. The bridge has a span of 54 meters and, with a height of 14.5 meters, is visible from afar. In the next step, the crossing over the Mur in Scheifling will receive a roof. A photovoltaic system to operate the lighting is also planned.
