Project presentation: Zell am See airfield

New hangar for Zell am See airfield

A fourth hangar for the aircraft is being built at the Zell am See airfield. The new building is being constructed by PEM as a partial general contractor and will be handed over turnkey at the planned project completion at the end of August 2024. The hangar consists of a 1,505 m² hall and a 3,150 m² outdoor area.

From planning to completion

As a partial general contractor, PEM Buildings is responsible for extensive tasks in this project. From submission planning to turnkey execution, PEM handles verifiable structural calculations, formwork and reinforcement plans, as well as site management. The services also include site setup, earthworks, special foundation measures, drainage, foundation of strip and individual footings, assembly of precast concrete wall elements, as well as production of the concrete floor and base elements. For the outdoor area, PEM ensures a stable substructure, secures the surface, and takes care of topsoiling. The new hangar also features a WC installation, which is created by PEM through drywall work, carpentry, painting, and tiling. Of course, the specialist is also responsible for the hall construction, including roof and wall assembly. Only the technical building equipment, such as electrical or sanitary installations, is carried out by the client.
